Is there anything one can do to stop noise being transferred all round the system? I can hear boiler noises (in the cellar) in my upstairs rads and when my MZV in the cellar was banging it echoed in my upstairs rads even though that circuit wasn't on and sitting in my study next to the cupboard through which the upstairs htg pipes run I can hear from the pipes a whizzing noise which is the echo of the upstairs MZV in the cellar turning off, and a ticking noise which starts in cellar every few minutes. This then repeats in all the upstairs rads. They can't all be too tight under the floor and anyway we didn't get this ticking before the new boiler.
