Noisy hot water cylinder.

When the hot water is turned on,after 5-10 minutes there is a gushing noise in the cylinder.When the boiler fires up it subsides,then when boiler switches off it starts again.With the heating on as well it hardly does it.I'm getting no air in the radiators.
I have an open vented system with header tank and 3 port valve.
