While you are correct that the flow through the valve must be the same as circulated water, head orientation is cannot be changed to suit.

It can Dan you just swap the valve from horizontal to vertical, or vice versa, and you will change the direction

same thing I said. Can go on the flow or the return

What I am implying is that the valve body with mono directional arrow has to be in line with water flow ( continues from previous post I made) and the head fits where it will- there is no choice

on bidirectional valve, world is fitters oyster
