Yes, I see the difference. I don't know how it came to be incorrect. Perhaps I failed to put a space after the quoted material, as I have done now. I hope this turns out all right. As far as this incompetent person can see, what you do is: highlight the part that you want to quote, then go to the answer panel (where it has been copied to), leave a space, then type in a reply. Other than that, I wouldn't know what else to do. Anyway, thanks for pointing out my error. I wouldn't want to cause confusion for anyone.

Not sure what you mean - highlighting text doesn't put it in the reply panel - clicking the Quote button does that

and in this case gets you this (with O changed to 0 to stop it being interpreted as a quote):

Matching up [QU0TE] [/QU0TE] around what you actually want to quote is what you need to do, if it's not the whole post, so

It can be a PITA to put it right if you get it wrong, as the site will insert [/QU0TE]s where it thinks you've missed them.

As I said, before it got removed, we all mess it up at times, but I was surprised that you thought it looked OK first time round, that's all.
