Chariots Of Fire director Hugh Hudson dies aged 86

Hugh Hudson's 1981 film, starring Ian Charleson, Ben Cross and Nigel Havers, won four Oscars, including best picture. The film also won best original score for its iconic soundtrack accompanying the famous slow-motion running scenes.

Duangpetch Promthep, one of the 12 boys who was rescued from a Thai cave in 2018, has died in the UK.

That is sad after what they went through.

I had the pleasure of being part of the 'close' security team of Suzi Quattro's at a festival once & got the chance to tell her just how much of an influence on my teenage years she was. She never batted an eyelid at the revelation that she wasn't a patch on Blondie.

I would not have ever jumped over Raquel to get at Suzi or Debbie. Ever.
