Stating the obvious I know, however it's usually a multi-layered issue.We need to get to the cause of why people start going down the road in the first place. Too late once they are there.
If the reason is a medical dysfunction of some bodily organ(s) then try to find the cure. If it is phycological then try to find the reason and what support would help.
