Olympic Medals Table Standings

As it stands the positions are based on amount of golds with silvers and bronze only coming into it if there's a tie, do you think a fairer system would be to convert say two silvers to make a gold and two bronze to make a silver should be used to allow those countries that may have lots of second and third results but no first places to be able to move up the table?

No I think its fairer this way rather than decided with a coin
