My missus' mum died when she was just 46 almost 6 years ago. We have a 4 year old daughter who is always asking questions about everything and anything (sure shes been here before

The father in law is now with someone who he has started a relationship with and our daughter calls her nanna. She was asking us one day about who our parents where. I explained that your nanna and grandad X are my mum and dad etc. Got to the point where we tried to explain that her other nanna wasnt my missus mum, and the reasons why etc.
We told her that she was poorly and went to heaven. At her age its not easy explaining death and what heaven is. She then said to us, can I go to heaven when I come home from nursery to see mummy's mum.
Like Conny said, the innocence of young ones is great tonic.
