Aparently there this rich bloke named W. Windsor going to marry a rich bird named K. Middleton, and we are going to be deluged with it on the TV news till April. What a waste of electricity.

Quite funny really. I drive past the bride-to-be's mums house every day on my way to work and back, and the papps just take snaps of everyone that either goes into or out of the drive. The other day, on my way home, this car was pulling out, and the cameras went nutty, taking loads of pics, and the driver of the car was absolutely roaring with laughter. I bet Kate's mum was asking random friends to just pop over and get a pic taken :)

Oh, and yes, it may only be just a wedding, but at least we get a four day week at the end of February !! :D :D

The choice is entirely ours, I will not be wasting one single watt of electrical power watching these two getting spliced.
They interest me, not in the slightest.

Hope it doesn't clash with the royal wedding ......

But Im an avid news watcher. I cant go out in the morning till Ive compared BBC,Sky and Euro News versions of what they think is important. This nonsense is taking up too much air time

It's taking up too much airtime because the three channels you've mentioned all run 24 hours, so churn out the same stuff all day. It's quite good in one way to be able to flick the news on whenever, but if you watch it for more than 15 minutes you will get a sense of deja vu......

I agree with wotan , I'm not interested in all the show but as to being able to avoid it I doubt that it will be possible without living with a remote in your hand or on the tuning knob and not looking at a paper for the next six months.

According to the BBC tonight, this couples choice of venue for the wedding is more important than the potential for a massive globe engulfing conflict starting in the Far East

bloody inconvienent for us as we are now having to try and move our wedding as everyone will now cash in on the day. we booked our day 8 weeks ago.

Kim Jong's timing is spot on, he thought that a strike today would be a good opportunity to 'bury' bad South Koreans.

How dare those damn Koreans muscle in with their threat of "instant global warming" at such a happy time!!
I'd send a gunboat -- if we had one.!
Who's getting wed again??

news flash, westminster abbey if off, it's now going to be a quiet registry office do.

apparrently charles just informed the brides father, that as a traditionalist, it's down to the brides father to pay.

well all my republican friends, when you get a public holiday for the wedding please show your disgust at the Royals by refusing and going to work
PS I will be taking mine as I support the Royal Family 100%

No,on reflection, you're right kirkgas, the union of a chinless inbred Germano-Greek, with an upper class wannabe is justifiable reason to lose a days pay.
