What event are we talking about again??
Its just past 1:30 & I've come home for a warm up!! It's bleedin freezin out there.

Why a public holiday? Its freakin stupid. Anyway, my business trades 7 days a week and that week will be no exception, I guarantee.

as discussed it is your choice how and when you run your business, do you open 365 days a year

I have always had my doubts about supporting the Royals but with the emergence of a modern train of thought, sort of friendly approach by the 'boys', I am going to support there existence.

The other thing is they are able to contribute an enormous amount to charities. Something like 3 times the amount that it costs to run the 'family'.

My thoughts on the marriage though are far more pessimistic. It has less chance of lasting than an 'ordinary' marriage. But WYH lets get some more children to support on DHSS, which they'll be entitled to I guess.

I believe what you should be saying is that they are patrons of certain fund raising charities - they actually give over f*ck all of their own ill gotten gains!

And celebrities/ordinary people raise far more, so that argument is invalid!

I did not say they gave their own money just able to contribute an enormous amount. This does generate hundreds of millions of pounds and next year even more.

Anybody that does anything for charity is not worthy of your comment 'so that argument is invalid'.

Just like I corrected you... ;)

Please explain, because not only do you make no sense, but you also haven't addressed the relevant point...!

Most people give to charities and a lot raise money for charities. All are valid. There is no argument about that. Don't you think so?

At the end of the day you have to look at the bigger picture and ask yourself are they better for our society than scum bags who make peoples lives a misery.

Most people who raise money for charity do it in their own time...our royal family do it on our time because they are paid by us to do it!

They are the biggest benefit scroungers in the country, and well able to fund their own self important lifestyle!

if you choose to call the Royal duties "their job" your words not mine, then it is a simple question, like any other employee do they make money for their employer, ie do the bring in more than they cost? the answer with the Royals is yes they do, so as employees they are good, the Royal familt "tradename" brings £millions into the country each year and is part of our proud heritage

Yet another who likes to invent things...where did I say 'their job' or 'duties' - please point it out!...as you say, it's quite simple..;)

I said they are paid by us, and therefore it is no different from us paying other benefit scroungers - do keep up!

And you might feel 'proud', but I feel ashamed of a so called civilised country where some people are more equal than others by an accident of birth...

Don't ever forget they didn't ask to be born in to that family either, and if you were, I would hope you would do as good a job as them.

Nahh Ellal would resign as a member of the Royal Family as soon as he was old enough. You know he has his principles. ;) ;) ;) ;)

our royal family do it on our time because they are paid by us to do it!

this phrase i take to mean they work for us, if we pay them and they do something in our time so thats why i said it, its different to the scroungers who do nothing, and who bring nothing into the country, so do the Royals bring in more than they cost us, and are they worth what they are paid, i say they are worth it, if you dont agree and dont want to live in such a country then move to one of the worlds republics, it is your choice, your comment about being ashamed of some being more equal to others applies to every country, even the communist communities who profess equal rights for everyone,

You may take it to mean what you like, but you stated...."if you choose to call the Royal duties "their job" your words not mine"

So again, please show me my words (not yours) where I said either job or duties...

We pay them, and yet they have NO job description at all...It is up to them as to what they do (or not), so therefore your point is invalid...

so do the Royals bring in more than they cost us, and are they worth what they are paid, i say they are worth it, if you dont agree and dont want to live in such a country then move to one of the worlds republics, it is your choice
Ah, that old chestnut...

What you appear to want is a country where views opposed to yours are not allowed...

your comment about being ashamed of some being more equal to others applies to every country, even the communist communities who profess equal rights for everyone,
indeed it does - but that doesn't make the sentiment wrong does it !
