Just changed over from old gravity fed system to unvented tank... Hot water running fairly orange...theres only about 10 metres of old 15mm copper left between tank and tap, rtge rest is either new copper or plastic....
Could the increased preassure in that short run be blasting residue off pipe?

I'm no expert but orange water makes me think rust more than copper.

Check the type of expansion vessel (EV) - sounds like they might have used the wrong type and you're getting rusty water through the tap now.

If that's actually what's happened then I'd be having a serious word with the installers!!

Well maybe it was the increased pressure, maybe it was the Flux... But either way it cleared within a couple of days....

What colour is the expansion vessel for the cylinder, if there is one?
