our hero's in uniform

should our boys in the armed forces be allow to where their uniform in the street when they are off duty, would the public show due respect ,or would the yobs and activates hassel them,

i understand your point but why would they want to wear uniform.

yobs would cause trouble because the soldier would be powerless

i thought i would burst with pride.

When I first joined the RAF we HAD to travel in uniform and I never had any problems hitching a ride.

Then PIRA started killing us and they changed the rules to prevent anyone from wearing their uniform when off duty.

Attitudes towards service people in this country isn't great IMO unlike in the US where they treat them with the respect they deserve.

At the end of the day, these people fight our battles for us so we can all go about our business without a care in the World (should we decide to do so).
