Hey,

I already have an RCD certified garden circuit with a few double sockets and slack cable.

I want to power a newly build shed. Could I remove the final socket, use the current Armoured cable in through the shed wall and continue from there?

We've tried 10 different sparks, only 2 would even bother coming to quote and neither want the work, so I really need a work around!

I've also want to ask, is running armoured cable in trunking under a deck considered safe instead of burying.

Thanks!

If its armoured why bother with trunking when its under the decking?

What is the circuit protected by?

Whatb is meant by "RCD certified". Do you mean a circuit was installed and you have an installation certificate?
What is feeding this circuit?

Fine. What do want to power? MIG welder? engine hoist? Sauna/hot tub? or is it just a couple of sockets for tools and a couple of lights?

That's life

Yes. Do you know how to terminate SWA and fit glands?

Hi,

Trunking just to be extra safe. I have cleats.

RCD circuit that an electrician installed and certified.

Couple of lights, maybe fridge and TV. Nothing massive.

I know it's life, I didn't want 'get a spark' as a reply :)

Yes, I can fit glands.

Thanks.

It's running drom the main fuse board in the house, on the RCD side of the board.

Do you have any test kit or are you going to use the fingers crossed method?

My previous additional sockets and changed lighta have used the fingers crossed method. Learnt that from my Dad.....

Sorry, I've done a basic electrics evening course and handled interior things (changing lights, socket spurs etc) but I don't know what you're asking :(
Oh dear.

I am asking, quite simply:- the existing "RCD" circuit gets its volts from somewhere. What is providing that?
Is it a separate circuit dedicated to the garden from the consumer unit? If so, what is the current rating of the MCB, etc that is protecting it.
Or, is it a FUSED CONNECTION UNIT, from one of the ring final (socket) circuits?
Or, is it something else?

Separate circuit (below).
