Of course not a single slab has sunk in 20 years...

Bernard, are you bragging or complaining?

Well the conduit was expensive so complaining...... but the way the slabs were laid was obviously good so bragging.....

That's why I suggested digging a wee' trench for the cable to sit in, then topped with sand (normally 2"+) and then the flags.

Had sort of hoped that would be sufficient to prevent such issues.
