Hi

I have outside lights installed with the junction box and cable connectors as shown in pictures.

The spark said these are waterproof and will be fine outside.

But the lights when switched on keep tripping the meter.

I changed one of the cable connectors as it appeared to be rusted and lights worked fine again for a while now tripping again as I assume it's the connectors again.

What the best way to sort this put please.

Thanks

Can you take a photo of the junction boxes?

I am not an electrician, but in the short term, I would be tempted to drill a couple of 2mm holes in the bottom of the box to let the water out. That would only be a short term fix though.

Did this but seems when the cable connectors get damp at all it trips meter board.

Only other thing I was think off was the heat shrink stuff over the connections??

Unless you crimp the connections, I don't see how heat shrinks will help.

Off the top of my head... rather than a single connector block, use individual ones for each set of connections so that they can be kept apart.

Again, photos of the box and interior of the box will help.

Yes was looking at waterproof gel do I fill the inside of the box with it or just round the connections?
