Why do trans people put 'him/her' or whatever on the bottom of emails etc?

If you are replying, or talking, to a trans person when would you use 'him/her'?
Surely it will just be 'you' which, thankfully, encompasses all.

If other people are talking about them, then it doesn't matter which gender of pronoun is used.

The threads have been chopped and swapped even more than usual....

TRAs are not really interested in people with genital abnormality. It's just a trick to try to gain sympathy and public support.
They just want to push for added benefits for men who say "I am a woman" and want the rest of us to pretend we believe them.

Ooooh that's vile and cynical and prejudiced, but IME there is some truth to it. Anecdotally, a disproportionately high number seem to be angry at the world. Not an easy life? A couple and two singles live near me, and we've met a few on unusual holiday trips. Trips are a good place to query "what's it like being xxx?". Ships in the night, so people will often open up.

Oh, OK then. I'm just guessing here, but I guess they aren't actually genuine transexuals. I reckon genuine transexuals must spend so much time on focusing on the problems deep within themselve's that they simply do not have the time to focus on problems outside of a very narrow band. Which basically means, I have never met anyone with a genuine existential problem who gave a flying duck about that what other folk think of them.

As you say, the prejudice, discrimination and just pure hatred and abuse, that they may have experienced, from just about every quarter, during their life would be enough to make anyone angry at the world.

Is Owen Paterson trans? If he is, (for whatever reason) he can't just decide (for whatever reason) that "I was a man yesterday, but now I am a woman. Well he can, but it will have no standing in UK law. To have an 'acquired sex', he (he's still he) will have to get a GRC- look it up. We call this, reality. (For whatever reason.) For some religious or ideological reason, you refuse to accept it, despite it being extremely simple to understand.

The couple in the Microsoft video did it when talking - although the man did not mention his cultural misappropriation by having a Mohawk hairstyle.
