Pan connector confusion!

I would get a coupling onto that end before you plaster, in this instance a solvent weld version may be better as they are slimmer and will require less of the surrounding wall chopping away to accommodate. (Check before applying any glue, some are 'handed' with an arrow in direction of flow!)

See how it line up with the pan, Space Saver connector may well fit without too much ado.

Ok so a straight coupler, then more 110mm pipe then just the space saving pan connector and see how it lines up.

The only issue with solvent welding the pipe on the current soil pipe is it will be about 50mm long and will get in the way of the plastering. What do you think?

Yup, +1 .....

Just remember to line it up /fit it all together before you mark/glue to ensure it's all correct and the fall lines up when the toilet's finally in. Also remember to factor in the height of the floor covering too.

And do you think this space saving one will work horizontally, I can't find anything about that online. I'm a bit worried about that bend if it's horizontal

Weight of the water should push anything around the bend, like with most modern pans, the flush is usually rather weak, so dont put too much paper down in one go, use several flushes if need be. (Which completely counteracts the whole point of the water saving idea of the smaller flush....)

You need to get a proper watertight joint on that pipe, put a coupling on it and plaster around it. Or Dryline the wall, and simply cut a hole for the soil pipe.

Thanks, I can't really find any 110mm white solvent weld stuff, seems very uncommon. I could only find a 1m length of white 110mm pipe, but I don't know if it's solvent weld.

Can I just use a push fit coupler on the bit on the wall?

Have a look in the Hunter catalogue, they di some nice 110 SW stuff IMG_20200511_172619054.jpg

You can, but you may need to chip some of the brick away around the pipe to allow the coupler to push fully home.

Yeah I was planning on having to do that. I think it's best to use a push fit coupler her as I've had waste pipe issues before and its a nightmare if everything is solvent welded.

It will foul in the side if the pan before enough goes inside the seal

I'm sorry! I really don't get what you're saying. Check the outlet spigot extends beyond the sides of what? What will foul in the side! I'm sorry if I'm being stupid :)

Right, if you look from the side of your pan and can see the outlet sticking out the back beyond the sides it wont foul and be ok

Sorry I'm honestly not winding you up! But sticking out beyond the sides of what? This is the toilet I have...
