There are no tangible negatives, and massive financial advantages, which far outweigh the points you keep struggling to make. Like, it or lump it, it is not something anyone will be able to avoid long term, so you may as well embrace it, and gain financially from it..

If I didn’t have proof I wouldn’t have been able to do the calculations. I have monthly figures provide by the suppliers app and I have the bills too.

Exactly. A non issue when there are millions of meters.
If it was a non issue, why did offgen ban the practice, update the code of practice and make it part of the suppliers licence.

Certainly seems like suppliers were abusing their powers. British Gas in particular, were found to be very delinquent.
 
There is a lot of technology that now exists, some embrace it and look for the positives. Others find a conspiracy in everything.
Actually there are smart people who look at history to see how technology has been repeatedly abused to the detriment of the majority and the gain of the few...

Definition of massive is exceptionally large.

So the average family experiences exceptionally large energy bill discounts through using a smart meter?

And as for folk in my bracket (living solo, already quite frugal with energy usage) I can guarantee the financial advantages wouldn't be exceptional ;)
 
True but the family who have had their supply cut off due to an error have to get a message to their supplier.
You mean a letter like, "I'm sorry you froze to death, but it was an administrative error"?
