If nothing else it has high lighted just how many useless occupations their is in our society.
People who just sit at home with free money and life goes on as usual for the people who have kept this country running through this period and for the many decades past.

No. Without cure or effective treatment, Ryler's point is that (for the vulnerable subset) you're dead anyway, if it crosses your path. Their only current hope is to not get infected.

"Casinos and bowling alleys will remain shut, with Boris Johnson saying it was time to "squeeze the brake pedal".

Wedding receptions of up to 30 people were meant to be allowed as part of the changes but cannot yet happen.

Face coverings will be mandatory in more indoor settings, such as cinemas.

How dare you! I demand my right to celebrate some beardy bloke on a cloud, to the exclusion of my fellow humans ' wellbeing!

I think, a socially distant xmas would be a bloomin good xmas myself! No having to do the rounds of family, cleaning the house ready for guests or cooking a mountain of food. I could sit in my PJ's all day eating Cadbury roses non-stop

Good, but not enough as far as I’m concerned.

To be honest, with pubs open it all seems pointless. We must have on average 200 people in our tiny local and drunk people do not social distance at all... repeat this scene up and down the country and that's a problem.

I don't understand why someone can't go into a socially distance theatre though but can get hammered in a pub.

Well, today’s measures may be a blessing in disguise for us. We are due to go to my mates wedding in September (no rush, he only proposed in 1995!!!!!!) and with what’s going on, we were wondering how this social distancing is going to be observed. Looks like it’s going to be put off again - I just hope it’s not put off for another 25 years!

No, they’ve got a 15 year old one and they’re both in their fifties. Also, I believe that inheritance tax issues are more favourable for a remaining spouse compared to a partner.

Very possibly six million or more.

Britain is one of the world's worst affected countries.

I've just seen a post on an ex-pat site, that I thought was illuminating because of the general view of UK government:

Hi,not saying that the messages from the UK Gov are confusing or anything,but has anybody got any idea what the heck is going on in the UK?I was talking to a friend of ours who has just been to the UK on BF-Caen -Pmth,she was telling me that you still need to fill out the quarantine form to be produced at the UK port,otherwise you will be refused entry?I was under the impression that the quarantine rule had been lifted for arrival from France?When the quarantine rule was in place,nobody was even checking,now it has been lifted,they want to see a form?Have they totally lost the plot or what?​

And a reply, which kind of mirrors not only ex-pats view, but also the view of the French, that I interact with.

johnson is an imbecile, he is surrounded by yes men/women who know if they dare to question him they will be sacked. Listening to the news this morning the muppet cabinet could not back him or support his latest bullsh*t announcement. There is no direction or cordination between members of this dictatorship.
Everytime di*khead johnson opens his mouth he just confuses the situation more and more.
