Party wall or not?

Ok so I want the build an extension (red line). This is wholly only my property the garage to the left of the picture is shared and has a party wall. The question is does the 3m rule apply here as my garages and it's foundations are in-between the party wall and the excavation. I'm also not sure if they will be deeper at this stage.
