pc sound

I lose my pc sound after about 5 mins use then it returns after maybe 20 mins, then it repeats the fault again and again. It is preceeded by a clicking sound. I have replaced the pc also the independently powered speaker system to no avail. An electrician has tested all the household sockets which are all ok and fitted a new rcd board.The pc itself is not affected just the sound system. Help!

Dont think I should be in Hardware with this problem? Its not the pc thats at fault ite the household electrics. thanks

Does it do it with headphones, or speakers that are only powered by the PC?

It is NOT the household electrics.

For one thing, you have had those tested already.
For another, if there was a fault with the electricity supply in or to your home severe enough to cause the symptoms described, you would have problems with everything else in your home as well.

As you have replaced the PC and speakers already, the most likely cause is an RF issue.
Such as passing taxis or whatever emitting a high level radio signal, which is picked up by the speaker or signal leads, overloads the amplifier and causes it to shut down.
