Tories increased tuition fees by £18,000 over 3 years
Labour just put up tuition fees by £300 over 3 years

You do the math
pure and simple labour introduced them then increased it from initial 1000 to 3250 and within months of getting in they are increasing them again . pricing out working class people further
Also would you like to show your workings out how you got a 300% increase by the tories

So Conservatives should’ve put up taxes well before the election.

University fee increases should be pegged to CPI and go up every year

Why do you think our universities are over run by foreign students ? Their fees aren’t capped so it’s the only way Universities can raise additional money

So you agree with the Labour policy to increase it by 3.5%

And you agree Conservatives should’ve put up taxes earlier in the year.

I’m glad we got there in the end.
Well done

His maths are abysmal , he will now be taking his socks off to use his toes as well
Conservatives increased tuition fees by £18,000

That’s about 50x more than Labour have increased them by.

Now go and calm yourself down, you’ve got yerself all flustered

You do get hot and flustered - not me

Over time the numbers get much bigger, so you aren’t comparing apples with apples

Go back and check the numbers in the original rant

no come on show us the maths behind your 300% increase comment , this should be amusing

The reason for the need for an increase is old news now. The changes to the visa system by you know who. Student visa requirements were changed. Shortly after that the resultant drop in uni revenue was mentioned.

LOL Who the hell put the fees up is irrelevant. Fact is the uni's have a drop in revenue and they are not happy about it. So fees go up but there is now more to do - a re evaluation of the entire set up. Obviously they would like the costs to go down but this leaves it TBD. They may need even more.

In the interim an increase has been determined as a stop gap.

I heard mention of look at the indirects. Not using that word. Directs in a manufacturing sense are the people that actually work on a production line. Indirects are the rest. All of them what ever they do.

I guess you missed my point.

"Prime Minister Keir Starmer had said he wanted to abolish tuition fees altogether when he ran for the leadership of the Labour Party in 2020".

All politicians either lie or change their minds. Its part of being an MP.
