An excellent detailed and very accurate article!
There are a few omissions I think -
The Irish language in Southern Ireland is used as a weapon against Protestant children and also for employment despite the Irish language being virtually unused as a day to day spoken language, although it is on their road signs together with English.
It is now being used against British people in NI.
Also another fact seldom told is the IRA of the time direct involvement with the Nazis in WW2.
The treatment by Eire after the Wars of the soldiers who had fought for the Allies and came back home to Ireland is something to read about - the men lost their pension rights and jobs.
I really do not believe modern Southern Ireland has made much progress in rectifying inequality.
Their Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) let his mask slip soon after the U.K. voted for Brexit by saying “it was the Unionists to blame for the mess for voting Brexit” !!
Bizarre (and incorrect) statement for a foreign leader to make against people who had a vote of free choice.
