Philanthropist Or Not?

Give us an example of what you think is sizeable
With current interest rates and wanting to maintain a decent income for family/friends, its got to be no less than £10/15 million

No way. Lots of these types of organisations, eg food banks, are helping to fuel the migrant crisis by feeding them.
Another whacky imaginary cause-effect claim.

Why not explain your imagined theory so your bigoted conspiracy theories can be exposed again?

Sizeable is relative, no?

If your lottery win were smaller, your payouts would be too. I would get a solicitor to write a letter to chosen beneficiaries and one to me the same so it looks like I have received a windfall just like them.

I would help the homeless and open a kitchen serving food and I would avoid greedy charities by starting one myself.

Whenever Mrs Mottie and I see a story on the news about some unfortunate person such as someone that is in terrible pain and has to wait for a hip operation or a child that needs life changing surgery abroad or even someone that has done something really good for their community or another person, she always says wouldn’t it be nice if we had a lottery win and could treat them. That’s what we'd do.
we would be exactly the same

When I see a story on the news about some unfortunate person such as someone that is in terrible pain and has to wait for a hip operation or a child that needs life changing surgery abroad, I often think how nice it would be if we had a properly resourced health service.

Some people like to see public services starved of resource so they can boast of cutting public spending,

And some people struggle with the fact the healthcare options have changed dramatically over the decades and also some countries offer stuff that isnt available or recognised in every country .

.
Hip OPS in england and wales have more than doubled to over 99,000 in 19 years
Heart stents 100,000 a year fitted how many were fitted 20 years ago ?
artificial knee OPS also in the tens of thousands.
Medicine and the increasing costs move on

Sometimes, it is more cost-effective to keep someone alive and active, and a productive member of society.

Yes, the UK's population is increasingly aged, and older people need more health care, more often, and for longer.

Gas112 quotes examples of increasing demand by older people.

It is perhaps perverse that these older people are predominantly the ones who voted for governments that cut public spending in order to reduce public services and starve the NHS of investment and resource.

What do you class as old ? An ever increasing number of 40 plus year olds getting stents etc due to them being fat lazy gits not taking responsibility for their own health . Younger ones getting expensive drugs to help battle the paranoia and all the other mental health problems caused by the massive cannabis problem starting in their teenage years . Hips knees etc being done from 50 with a lot of that down to not looking out for themselves weight wise

You don't really believe those are young person's problems.

Get the stats then and see what ages are. . merely speaking from experience with the benefit of actually speaking to the general public in their homes and seeing how in the past it would be pensioners telling you about their hips etc and it's now a far far younger age group. Look in any town centre / shopping centre the majority on mobility scooters are fat young people many in their 30s /40s struggling to keep the fag in there mouth as they buzz about with their arses hanging over the sides

I had my hips replaced 10 years ago, without those ops I would probably be in wheelchair, as it is I am still working albeit P/t now, also playing tennis & cycling
