I have just looked, it works the same way messages do.
do your forum options prevent you using the full editor?
Ask diynot if not.
So when you send a PM you can copy an image into your copy buffer and paste it into the message?
I'm losing the plot. Not yet. I was going to use an old photo bucket account but it’s got loads of crap on it so i’ve got the Flickr app and trying with that by putting the image link onto the postcard icon on here

No, still on about messages. I can put a picture on the forum easily by pressing ‘upload a file’.
If I could get the postcard icon (next to the smily face) to work, then I could use that function on a message.
See my recent PM to you. That button works just fine. No, still on about messages. I can put a picture on the forum easily by pressing ‘upload a file’.

No - there is only a subset of the functionality the forum has.I have just looked, it works the same way messages do.
It also transpires that when Ian wrote "If I could get the postcard icon (next to the smily face) to work, then I could use that function on a message" it was not because the button didn't work - it was working fine. The problem was that he wasn't putting an image URL in hereAfter he posted some pictures I can see now that he is actually doing this on a mobile phone. (I don't think this was actually mentioned before).
For the third time, when you send a PM you can copy an image into your copy buffer and paste it into the message? As for the subset, not quite - there are lots of functions available in private conversations if you hit the "more options" button.

As for the subset, not quite - there are lots of functions available in private conversations if you hit the "more options" button. Looks the same as what I'm looking at now after doing the same with this message - but then I'm on a PC so don't know what he is looking at on his phone.
also my ipad app for flikr doesnt have the same functionality as the online model i use on my laptop
i think if you use a phone or ipad its the fact that the tab feature on any browser makes posting BB codes much easier and practical
also i found i couldnt delete photos on the ipad
cheers
