pink board

I am finishing off a loft conversion and need some advice from a pro please.

To comply with building regs I have to use the pink board on the new stairs and was also going to use on the new stud wall into bedroom. Question do you put the pink board on the outside where the stairs come up or bedroom side?

I ask this as obvious answer is stairs side but if upgrading doors the intermisient paint goes room side to give the fire break.

I don't want to fall fowl of building regs so advice greatly appreciated.

The fireline board goes to the stair side to protect the means of escape.

Never used intumescent paint on loft conversions only intumescent strips on fire doors.
