BEWARE FOLKS!

You ave been warned....

The Fuzz are now rolling out night time speed cams that use a pink flash. The white one was deemed too dangerous to use at night. But now they can snap you 24/7.......

TAKE CARE OUT THERE!

Is this new "pink camera" coming out at the same time as new sirens that go "Oooooooooooooooooh!" in a camp fashion? And the new "novelty" shaped truncheons? ;)

Do policemen still carry whistles?

if you lived up here mate they carry a2zs

Perhaps the police should recruit ex-taxi drivers then? Real taxi drivers don't need maps!

our police do half of them need directions to the shopping centre (seriously) :D

Perhaps they live in another town - even country - A few years back our community policeman lived over the Severn bridge in Wales ... Bit of a step from BANES !! ... He could speak English tho' .. but only just ! ;)

I wonder how the pink flash affects the colourimetry of the camera? although it doesn't matter for the number plate id you might have an argument along the lines of " that must be a car with false number plates as my car is green!"

in b & w photography a red flash is used to improve contrast, but if the flash used is very powerfull the flash appears pink

what if its a black and white picture?
good point! As i said you could argue that my car isn't black and white but green :) don't think you'd get away with it one bit though Shame

Unless ... always drive in disguise ?
Easier to abide by limits .... a decent 'speed control' like the F1 boys have would be great ... Do Renault have one ? as opposed to cruise control ?

Answered own Q here .. Renault :-
The ESP system works alongside traction control and an understeer control system to ensure wheelspin and skidding are kept to a minimum. There is also a speed limiter, which enables the driver to select a maximum speed that the car will not exceed.

Anyone experience of this ?
