right guys been at it again this morning and heres where im at:
most of the old grotty silicone is off just a few bits to do

images of where the pipes are currently:

as you can see i have a small gap at the back of the bath where the pipes are now

because of where the are i am having trouble getting a water tight seal so can anyone come up with a solution to my problem

Flaming hell - I thought you were referring to where the pipes come out of the wall. Din't realise you were doing it IronNaz stylee.

Christ, if you ever get that water tight is till look a mess.

Those pipes should be buried in the wall.

I agree they should be buried in the wall but its now not possible without ripping the whole lot off and causing a whole lot of mess

where the pipes are now can be moved but im at a loss to think of a better way

i know externally piping it isnt ideal but it is what it is

so im hoping someon will be able to provide a better way of doing it

Whats behind that box section of wall ?

Thats some gap to fill.
Even with what you suggest i can't see you getting a good job done and water tight.
Nothing worse than ledges at the same end as the shower water always sits there.

I do have a few spare ties yes but i have no chrome border strip at all

The only thing I can think of is a baton infill, layered with tonnes of silicone, then a tiled ledge with cut-outs for the taps. It will look rubbish, and unless the bath is rock solid, it WILL leak eventually.

No chance of getting the same ? Depending on age.
Or no chance of removing a few once tiles off ?

I think i have enough tiles just no chrome strip thats all

i just want something that will look ok but water tight

if possible id prefer not to have to rip tiles up but if that is the obly option i will have to go that route

I can only suggest as dan has said but it's not a long term solution.

I be inclined to savage what you can and battern/board it out to the bath.
Pipes run behind boarding retile.

Or at worst board out up to the crome part with ledge just below chrome tile.
Move mixer down onto the blue tile after boarding.

Kill two birds with one stone. ;)

Im going to look at how many tiles there is befor i go at it like a bull in a china shop

any other great ideas?
