Hi,

I've knocked out a shower from my downstairs toilet, and am left with a plastic pipe (where it drained) sticking up from the concrete floor (see photo). I don't need this drain pipe anymore, so can I just cap it and screed the floor (effectively burying it)? Or do I need to leave it open to the air for any reason? The plastic pipe from the sink also goes into the floor (see pipe next to wall in photo), so I'm guessing the one I want to cover joins it beneath the concrete somewhere.

Many thanks,
