Hi, we are looking at purchasing a house in fife which is a chalet style house with a steep pitched roof and two beds upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. This is not ideal as one of our young sons would be sleeping on a different level, and also we would like something with more living space, bigger kitchen etc. the present owners have gained planning permission for a massive extension but we have no idea of even a ballpark as to how much it might cost? I really like the idea of taking something like this on though.
We would ideally like something similar, however three beds upstairs and one en suite would be enough for us. I know its a bit of a 'how long is a peice of string" question, but would really appreciate anyone with experience casting their eye over the current plans and giving a ballpark as to what we would expect to fork out, and if it would be worth persuing further

Many thanks in advance,
