Or plastering for that matter.Throw it on and run mentality.

"Over the last 100 years cements and cement based products have slowly replaced traditional lime based mortars and plasters.

The need to understand the different methods in historic and listed buildings is essential for the repair and upkeep of these beautiful structures.

Here at Teach Lime we help you to understand what lime is, how it works and how to use it.

Our course is suitable for homeowners, builders, plasterers, architects, surveyors or anyone just wishing to learn a new skill or gain knowledge of old building methods.

Our experienced craftsman will talk you through the material of lime then demonstrate the methods before letting you have a go yourself.

Our course is desgined for all levels of knowledge and by only having small groups of 8 people per course we guarantee you plenty of opportunity to learn from our skilled craftsman."

You seem to be missing the point completely.

As already stated by roy, this is a diy site for diyer's.

Someone comes on here and asks for advice on the easiest method to patch a 1m2 hole in their kitchen wall before hanging their units and you start spouting ye olde guide to lime plastering

Your advice under certain circumstances is unhelpful, counter productive crap.

And please refrain from calling me names poopy

 x
