I have just had a new extension built. The walls have been plastered, however I have noticed imperfections and started sanding areas to get them smoother before painting. I have stopped now because there us more than I expected and therefore I am going to get the builder to do it. I have can also see where the plaster boards meet through the plaster. Once painted will these be visible. I have attached photos. I am expecting to much ?

looks fairly decent . looks thin though . nevertheless , you shouldn’t see those joints when it’s painted.
Did he use board finish or multifinish?

Thanks for your comments. With regards the finish, I dont know. I would assume board finish. Should they have put 2 coats on?

There are really bad plasterers and really good plasterers, that looks like somewhere in between, especially so if you needed to rub down, and if you can still see the joints when its pointed its more towards the really bad.
