Go for the Avanta, and stop worrying about it, you will not be disappointed.

The CDI is a great boiler, the other worcester models are not as good in my opinion.

I used to fit other boilers, but now only really fit Remehas. Great guarantee, excellent quality, flow rate for hot water is higher than many more expensive boilers, compact and lightweight, easy access for servicing. Oh yes, and really quiet.

Remehas tick all (or most) of the boxes!

You have all been great replying Thankyou so much!

Hubby just phoned from Afghan! even had time to read him some of your replies He reckons to go along with the general consensus and opt for the remeha so am going to stick with that.

Can't say how grateful I am which sounds daft but not nice to make boiler decisions on your own I tell ya! 8am thurs and they'll be here to fit still have some questions from some of your posts chemical flush etc but feel like I know abit more now.

Thanks again! :D

As I said on the other post, get him to install a "Magnaclean". around a £100.00 and worth every penny.

have got magnaclean down will speak to him about that tomorrow, is that the flush? as will also need the inhibitor i think  ha another question!

the magnaclean is an external magnet that traps all the magnite (black sludge) and gets cleaned out at every service. The chemical flush is required where as the magnaclean is optional.

After the cleaning an inhibitor is put in to protect the system.(again not an option)

make sure you see these going in as some monkeys pour it down the pan and leave you the empty bottle

the magnaclean is a good investment and its good to see all that blackmuck actually being removed

I know i keep going on its just such a lot of money at this time of year and with everything going on i dont want to be tight and regret it in the long run and everyone feels comfortable with a name they know!

would much rather be ummming and arghing over a chinese menu than this. . :D

Thats an amazingly low price! I always think that I quote low prices but my calc would be about £400 more!

Tony

very good price.ill admit the remeha is one of the quietest boilers.iv never heard.personally viessmann then remeha then very reluctently WB.all offer 5 years.under certain conditions.but at least your installer aint offering a piece of junk.

I thought I would update so others searching for advice can find out what happened. . . . Had the remeha fitted today very professional, water is redders and am sure runs abit faster than before, boiler so quiet am chuffed to bits back tomorrow for trv's and radiators well worth the money and the last 6 hours have been a dream, TOASTY!!
