Hello all,

Im considering installing a plinth heater into a single 900mm slimline base unit in the kitchen, i.e. it has end panels either side.

I just had a thought about air. If i do install it, do you think the blower will be able to get all the air it needs from the volume of air under this single unit? Or would it be wise to stick a vent plate in one of the end panels?

I'm probably over-cautious, but i dont want an over heated blower motor in a months time.

Many thanks,
Arron

As far as I know, all plinth heaters have their own air intake so they are not reliant on air being drawn from behind the plinth. You could fit them in a sealed box and they’d still work fine.
