plumbing in an aga

Hi
Can anyone tell me the best jointing compound to use when connecting the treaded fittings to the boiler on an aga. I am having to fit both inward and outward fittings as the exisiting ones have come loose over the years and i am just about to put the boiler back into use.

No flack. Pipe sealing cords for threaded joints are also ok.
