Hi All

Back for some more of your help and my not so great DIY skills.

I have some issues, one is I can smell the sewer gases but the basin trap is full. So full that it is leaking out the top. Can just about see the shadow in the photo on the trap nut.
It was a slimline Macalpine trap.

The trap is full of water so I don’t understand where the sewage gas leak is from or why the trap is overfilling like that.

Secondly, I’ve really messed up the measurement for the shower trap. Even using the minimum pipe for compression fittings the trap is out about 20mm.

Aside from ripping out the solvent welded pipes and starting again is there anything else I could do. And if I do need to rip it all out can you suggest best way of routing shower and sink waste given the waste outlet is above ground at around 80mm high.

Thanks
