Hi all

We recently got the house rewired and for some reason they cut the cables to the burglar alarm from what I can see.

Do you think it's possible to reconnect the wires and get it working again?

Also do you think this alarm turns itself off after a while if a false alarm and we are on holiday?

Can it be controlled remotely?

Please see pics..

Thanks all

Did you ask them to do this?

Altering burglar alarm wiring is not part of a standard rewire unless it involves the power supply to it.

Have you paid them in full?

I would get in touch with them and complain.

As far as I recall, it does have a 20 minute cut-off for the external siren.

As for remote control, what do you mean?

When they cut the cable, and the alarm system started screaming at them, didn't they wonder what they had done.....did they not bring it to your attention?
As above, and it wont be easy, they should re-instate the system. Under their insurance, perhaps....
