No, laying insulation between floor joists in our extension, 600mm centres. Slipped stepping backwards fell between 2 of the joists onto my garage floor below.
Tried to grab joists on way down meaning I landed fully on my hip as my arms were up but the same reaction probably stopped me landing head first instead which I doubt would of ended well.
Oh Sh1t, I wish you well and have a speedy recovery.

Did something similar many years ago, but landed astride a joist!
Luckily no permanent undercarriage damage!

Southport air show this weekend. I was passing RAF Woodvale and there was a Spitfire parked up with a couple of other planes. Lovely sight.
This one is from the Polish Squadron I believe.
Interesting fact, RAF Woodvale was the last base to have Spitfires flying operational missions from it in 1957.
