Post the best photo you took today

Sounds like a busman’s holiday for you….
It kind of is but, I have an interest in water. A couple of years ago I also posted a picture of the aqueduct in Mérida.
My interest in water extends to having a degree in water operations; hydrological cycle, collection, storage, treatment, distribution, drainage, waste water treatment, discharge to environment, the law regarding the above.
All that sort of stuff.

Stuck with whoever boarded with you though; no ta (y)
On the Caribbean cruise we went with 4 other couples so that wasn’t a problem. On the Norwegian cruise we hardly saw the same people twice - there’s over 3,000 passengers and the newer ships have more than that. We always choose freedom dining on P&O on a table for two instead of club dining plus we usually try the speciality restaurants where you pay a little extra for different dining experiences. Can’t stand being thrown together with strangers and/or being stuck on the same table with the same people every night.

Looks like an old Johnny English.

Each to their own but holidaying on something like that would be my idea of hell. I wouldn't necessarily be averse to going on a cruise, just not on something like that.

My parents went on cruises in 1960s and early 70s. Ships like the Chandris Lines Ellinis and Arcadia had pleasing lines and looked quite stylish. Dinners were always smart black tie affairs. Unfortunately the modern ships with climbing walls, line dancing and the outer appearence of tower blocks means they've lost something. Almost like Butlins afloat.

My idea of a nice cruise was a boat of 16, going round the Galapagos. "Hey guys if you want us to stop so you can pop in here you'll see hammerheads." Only us and 1 other couple popped in, but we saw hammerheads.

I thought hammerheads were dangerous? I've swam with Nurse sharks and Eagle Rays in Belize.
