Lol...Roker is the end of the world..Druridge bay,Beadnell,Bamburgh Castle,Lindisfarne,,as fine a beach and coast line you will find anywhere.Sth shields,Whitley Bay etc,promenades vastly improved in recent yearsI didn't realise what a beautiful cost line the North East has. I went up there some years back to South Shields, this is where the MIL was born and really was taken aback just how fantastic on a sunny day...
I was previously there on a cold windy February Tuesday night in 1992. Visiting Roker Park. We had to fight our way to the ground. I thought it was the arse end of the world.
I plan to do a bit more exploring maybe your sort of way..
