Wailing wall. In 1982 we were coming home from South Africa on a boat and we had a day trip to Jerusalem. I knew absolutely nothing about it apart from it 'wailed' (or so I thought). As we were getting near to it, we heard this eerie 'wailing'. Turned out it was two cats squaring up to each other! I went right up to the wall and there were hundreds of pieces of paper stuffed in the cracks. BTW, I now know why it is named!

It surprised me how easy going it was, I wandered in picked up a Kippa from the box at the entrance, no one gave me a second glance, there were tables set out with food and people seem to be having parties
