Usually the site saves the post as a draft even if you do refresh the page.
Try logging out and then re logging in if that doesn't work contact the forum owner.

Indeed it normally does. And as a test, just now, it did save my post.

When you try to paste, do you right click and click on paste?
If so, try CTL V. If that doesn't work then click on the magnifier symbol and then click on it again to disable it.
Not on a pc , iPhone , just hold finger on for paste and other option to appear , but they don’t .
I’m having problems using an iPad. Usually when I click on the three dots, the highlighted icons go bold and I can choose one - normally only use the smileys or the hyperlink symbol but when I do it now, they stay greyed out. Any idea's what that could be?

Can you press the magnifying glass symbol on the right and deselect it and try again? Are you using the app or the web application? If it still doesn't work then the site owner should be able to look into this.
Twice today, when replying, I am getting the error posting message. I now copy my reply, refresh the page and paste my response. The reply that I had initially worked on is incomplete. I paste in the longer version. Has the auto save feature (time limit) been scaled back?
Does the message say error in the browser console? If so, clear cache memory.
Not really no, the message should be saved as a draft.
Cheers mate. It is not saved as a draft, and when it is, it is only partially saved. My gut instinct is that it is not a browser issue. When I shut down my laptop, rather than going in to hibernate, I occasionally shut chrome, so I don't think it is a cache issue
