Hi Hope you can help me with my daughters boiler.
This morning she woke up to no heating - igniter was clicking away.
I looked at it this pm and saw that the timer clock had stopped 8 hours earlier. - PCB fuse dead.
Put in a new fuse, it blew during the lighting sequence. Then disconnected wiring to pump, tried a new fuse - turned on CH and lifted up pump proving switch - result Bang - reconnected pump wiring.
Disconnected wiring to Fan - new fuse - tried again, this was the strange bit:- the burner ignited, the igniter started clicking, then the fuse blew. All within a couple of seconds.
I would appreciate some help with this problem please, I know you'll say Fan is a no-no for me to work on, but I have spent 30+ years in the gas industry, however retiring before the day of the Combi.
Thanks Ian
