potterton puma 100e no CH, have HW

Just got back from inlaws & needed warming up - however the HW worked, but the CH did not. I have a potterton puma 100e boiler.

Pressure is fine, tried switching off/on at mains & checked clock - all ok. However CH will not turn on at all, even though HW is fine. Called someone but not sure when they will visit.

I noticed a few other threads on the lines of this, but no definitive solution.

Would be grateful for your advice

THe 2 most common causes of this fault are a dripping hot tap keeping the wax capsule open or the hot water microswitch is stuck in the on position.

err micro switch stuck on

think that might be noticable by the noise and the water flying out of the prv
