potterton pwermax HE E03 error display.. help please

Hi there
I have the most annoying and comlicated boiler .... potterton powermax HE. It has recently been displaying E03 error on display.....that is (flow temp. abnormally high) and doesn't work. It doesn't lock out though. Only displays E03 after the burner starts and the temp. rises to 93C and the error appears. And only once it locked out with the diplay of A04 which is ( Overheat stat open/gas valve failure). Anyone has any ideas why the temp. is going high so quickly and preventing the boiler from working. please help.

A rapid rise to a high temperature is usually as a result of a pump failure.

You can check that yourself but most other work should be left to a competent CORGI boiler engineer.

Few are comfortable working on your model though!

Call in Heat Team as these can be dangerous boilers to work on.

Check pump, 3-way valve & CH water pressure Replenish system & purge air/water via manual vent as per the installation instructions also check the AAV on the pump

Thanks to all. The problem has been resolved. It was simple and just needed to reset the system.
