hi just to let you know that the pcb board (not full kit) has been replaced and the problem 90% sorted....

when you turn the hot water on this comes on straight away!

the only issue i have now is when i turn the heating on ... the heating wont and doesnt come on until i turn the room thermostat down to reached (i.e.5oc) and then up (i.e.20oc) then it comes straight on .... any ideas?

Flashing amber light will be a pcb fault.
Beware though you may have a underlaying electrical fault some where on your system.

Hi the amber light problem doesnt occur anymore.... its just when you turn the CH on you have to turn the thermostat on the wall down and then back up for it to kick in .... is this not a fault with the stat not switching?

Hello Petchy. Did you ever solve this problem? I have just purchased a house and my potterton boiler calls for heat (flashing amber) but doesn't respond (fire up) however, a few hours later if i try it then it does.
Also I set the timer (honeywell) for the boiler to come on but also flashes amber when it hits the times but again doesnt ignite.
I am thinking either the honeywell programmer is faulty or something wrong with the valve.

Any help? thank you
