Well, over the weekend we noticed the same issue with the shower flow. Took the mixing valve off, and found more crap in the cold inlet. I think it's possibly insulation from the loft. I'm not sure how it's getting in the cold water tank. The tank jacket was off, but there shouldn't be enough insulation fibres in the air to get into the tank, and cause the inlet filter to block, surely?
I've put the tank jacket back on, so should cover it now, and cleared the blocked filter, so I guess we just see how it goes...
