BTW. I have never seen fibre run as as overhead service. But I am ready to be corrected on that point.

we got FTTH last year in our village and the run from the exchange to the village is overhead on the existing poles as are most of the house connections from the CBT (connectoeised block terminal)at the top of most poles. I put a duct under the lawn for OR to use instead of overhead as the existing copper comes underground to the house as well. i went from 3Mb down to a rock solid 150Mb down !!

The community centre in our village has overhead fibre right into the building.

Yes it's definitely fibre to the house from the pole. They said there isn't fibre in the cabinet. I can't wait. My life is going to be so amazing when I have superfast fibre broadband.
