Yes. the 3.75A is the maximum current that the power supply is capable of.
Anything requiring LESS than 3.75A is OK.

A few power supplies have a minimum load that is required for stable operation. Mostly these are the switched mode type used in lighting and other specialist purposes.
True, but then the minimum is almost invaraibly fairly low in relation to the maximum. I really can't believe that a PSU rated at 3.75A maximum would have a minimum above 2A, can you?
