Preparation of concrete subfloor for wet UFH

Hi All,

I am doing a kitchen extension. 3m X 6m, and like to install wet ufh.
need help to decide the best way to prepare my concrete subfloor for wet ufh.

option 1: mot + sand blinding + dpm + kingspan + dpm+ concrete + ufh boards (18mm) + ufh pipes + screed + tiles

option 2: mot + sand blinding + dpm + concrete + dpm+ kingspan + ufh pipes+ screed + tiles

Do you have any better or innovative ideas?

Clip the UFH pipe through the dpm, straight onto the insulation.

Which option are you saying is better?

Anyone done any of these options:

Option 1: mot + sand blinding + dpm + kingspan + dpm+ concrete + ufh boards (18mm) + ufh pipes + screed + tiles
Option 2: mot + sand blinding + dpm + concrete + dpm+ kingspan + ufh pipes+ screed + tiles
Option 3: mot + sand blinding + dpm + kingspan + clip ufh pipes + concrete + tiles

Having insulation above the concrete slab, gives a fast warming floor. I have this method. Option 2, ideally 65-75mm screed.

If you have the kingspan under the concrete... it will take longer to heat, as you are heating the slab and screed... but will emit heat longer.

Not sure there is a 'better' method, as two different approaches.

Don't forget you might need a decoupling mat, for your tiles.
